Daniels Diet Day 11

Good morning,
Congratulations! You have Done it.

Many will have lost weight; have increased energy and mental clarity, a decrease in body aches and pains, improved vision and improved texture of your skin. Others may have accomplished spiritual goals. It’s always good to write down anything accomplished and give thanks to God.
Please email to my clinic and give your testimony to encourage others, I will post it on my website (no names used). Also send in any recipe tips that you found helpful.

There are a small group who will have not lost much weight - do not feel discouraged as your body will be a lot better off internally for sure. If you have not lost any weight then this is a positive; it  tells you/me something. There is something holding you back? it may be a slow metabolism , you may have insulin resistance, hormone issues... Don't give up keep searching for the answer and you will find it. I suggest strongly that you read number 2 choice below, or you can have a long distance consultation with me to run some checks and guide you through to your breakthrough and success

The Question is – What do I do from here?

It’s very important when coming off a partial fast to not go overboard with your eating. Your stomach has been eating healthy foods for ten days, and it’s starting to shrink. It is not wise to overload it now with previously banned foods. Today is a critical time in this diet. Your decision now will determine your future health and weight maintenance. Consider it carefully.
My goals as a health care practitioner, lifestyle coach and author are to give every one, step by step instruction and answers to your individual situation. So that in a few short months you will have reached your goals of losing weight and having more energy and feeling very healthy. The end result being that you get into the ‘zone’ of living a lifestyle that ensures you don’t go back to where you used to be, but maintain your good weight and health. So this healthy lifestyle becomes the new normal for you, and you automatically choose to eat and shop the right way for you. Then you are truly ‘free’.
The next step is to keep the momentum going to reach your goals and I offer the following to help you achieve just that.

I can offer you 2 choices!

1. For those who are happy with the Daniels Diet results and just want to go on with a normal lifestyle; My Moderation Diet that is easy to live by and allows for everyday food to be enjoyable. This is discussed in my second book Daniels Lifestyle Diet. You can purchase this on www.danielsdetox.com

2. For those who want to lose more weight and overcome sugar/refined carbs cravings then I have the answer for you. I have written a new book - A 6 Week Low Carb Diet? A Real Weight Loss Diet. www.daniesldetox.com

At the moment I have reduced the price to just $4.99 for the EBook especially for you. It will go up in price in  2 weeks. This diet plan is nearly the opposite of Daniels 10 day diet. The effect of doing these two diets in tandem is very powerful and has wonderful results. You should lose 2 Kg a week and continue your journey to success. I emphasize it is only a 6 week program and then I suggest you do Daniels diet again and then move to the Moderation diet.
You can simply follow my diet plan as found in the book or you have the choice of using my weight loss protocols that go with the diet. This consists of Protein shakes and bars and herbs. If you want my personal support during these 6 weeks – email me at philip@wisdomforhealth.net and I will offer you the protocol and tell you the costs etc.

*I do offer a weight loss package which takes you step by step from day 1 of Daniels diet through to the end of the 6 weeks on  the low carb diet and into the moderation diet so you are on a good lifestyle by the end of it and this way you should not put the weight back on or go back to bad eating habits. This plan includes 3 personal consultations plus all the supplements.
*Also for those interested in doing just Daniels diet - i offer a package with all supplements and 2 consultations with me.
Long distance consultations work very well and i do them though Skype or internet and or phone and emails.

I also have another EBook on my web site called - Quick & Fast Meals – 7 Day Eating Plan for The Busy Women. Easy and fast recipes – all under 15 minutes.

I will also have several other EBooks written in the first 6 months of 2013, so keep an eye out for those and if you join my free newsletter I will keep you informed.

So once again congratulations to those who have completed the 10 days and if you need help i am here to assist.

By the way - i lost 2.5 kg and 2.5 cm off my tummy.

blessings

Day Ten of Daniels Diet

Good Morning,

“… Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, and that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil. That I may not cause pain.  So God granted him what he requested.”   (1 Chronicles 4:10)

You have reached the last day. Now is the time to start planning for the future. If you want to go on with the diet for another 2- 5-10 or 20 days don’t stop. However - Use wisdom and monitor how you are feeling and press on only if you feel good and desire to continue. For those who are looking forward to adding other foods, enjoy. Remember you can undertake the diet as often as you desire and whenever you choose.

If you have been praying specifically for something, then as this scripture states, believe this –“ So God granted him (you) what  (you) he requested.”

“What now?” you may well ask.
So tomorrow you weigh in and measure and record the results + the symptoms check list. Compare the records of how you were before and after the 10-day detox program. Email me the results philip@wisdomforhealth.net
Congratulate yourself on the changes, no matter how large or small they may be. Appreciate the changes you have been able to create in such a short time.

i will be blogging for another couple of days and sending newsletters with the winners for the 2 prizes I promised. I will continue  to help you find and follow a health plan that suits you as an individual and one you can live with in the long term. Food is to be enjoyed of course but it is the choices and amounts we all need to have a plan for.

My Day 10

Slept in a little this morning and had quality time with my wife and shared Bible reading and communion with her.
 I will exercise tonight.
Juice + fruit for mid morning.
Salad again for lunch
nuts
tonight - legumes and cooked vegetables
Summary:
As you may have noticed - i make the 10 day diet as simple and easy as i can. however i do have a recipe book that will help you find more interesting dishes to eat.
I found this time on Daniels diet - I ate too many nuts for 2 days and felt the affects. I also ate too many high GI fruits like mangoes and stone fruits and bananas. Although i feel good on these foods it probably would not help weight loss.

look forward to talking to you tomorrow for the conclusion of Daniels diet and to set up the next phase to follow - so you don't fall back into the old habits.

cheers

Daniels Diet Day 8

Good morning,

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.”   (3 John 1:2)

Pat yourself on the back, its day eight already. Remember the benefits; it’s worth it.
Being in good health all the time is possible, if you learn to change and follow a healthy lifestyle. This diet gives you the key to detoxification and launching into a healthy future. I too pray that you prosper in all things - body, soul and spirit because without health in each of these three areas you cannot enjoy life to its fullest.

Testimony (real time quote from email - this morning) from a 57 year old patient who has just completed the Daniels diet for the first time. She is a stroke victim and i add that to emphasis that any one can do this diet, its never too late or you are never too young or old.
"Lost.....3 k's and 7 cm off my waist!  IT WAS WORTH IT, though I know I'll never be a Vegetarian, Daniel's diet will always be a major part of my life from now on."
 'Oh best of all.'
'I managed to start walking again and where I used to stop for a ten minute sit while I let the dog have a snif/run around then head home....I walked right past the spot by the second day (a minute sit on the first day's walk)  the next day I made it thirty meters past it, then a little bit further....the next I did gardening, and the pain i suffer daily is now less.' Wow i am impressed, all this in just 10 days"

I am astounded but never surprised of the amount of testimonies coming to me of people losing weight. But also of healing testimonies which range from what i would expect as a practitioner to the unexpected and powerful healing and life changing experience that people have.

My day 8;
One major thing i notice is that i am not hungry or craving anything. I feel contented after a veggie juice and some fruit. my tummy does not need as much food and i actually have better concentration and work stamina when eating less. The old routine or habits are the challenges as you are then drawn to automatically have your snack of whatever when watching TV or danger times. i just replace that time with some 'allowed' food so i am not wanting to give in to the habit or desire. i find this works well and i enjoy my fruit or nuts much more.
Morning bike ride followed by  lots of water and a veggie juice.
Fruit soon and mixed salad for lunch.
Water melon for afternoon tea - not that water melon is one of the best fruit to eat nutritionally wise and is a great diuretic for any one with fluid retention.

Fruit Breakfast

This group of fruit mix well. Avocado is a neutral food so can mix with sweet or savoury dishes and is optional.
Dish one – a small bowl full of;
Watermelon honeydew  cantaloupe
1 part papaw (papaya)  ½ avocado

Or…

Dish two- a small bowl full of;
apple banana pear
pineapple any berries grapes – with seeds

Try spooning fresh passion fruit juice on top of the fruit. With fruit salad you can choose any 3-4 different fruits.
I encourage you to be inventive and add prunes, flaked almonds, pine nuts, coconut pieces, cinnamon, and various sprouts or seeds.
However there is a limit to nuts consumed during the day so if you add them to fruit salad do not eat as many later.
If it’s more convenient to you because of your busy lifestyle, you can stagger your fruit intake throughout the morning.

be blessed

Daniels Diet Day 7

Good morning from Sunny Perth West Australia,

I  have to admit doing Daniels Diet in summer can be a little easier than in winter. Because hot weather makes eating salads easy and a joy. Also the in season fruits are plentiful - from all stone fruits like mango's, peaches, plums, apricots etc. However in winter  of course we can enjoy soups and curries and peppers more, so it does equate out and allows 'any time' as a good time  to undertake Daniels Diet.

After dinner, 2 nights ago, i decide to have a mango for desert. As i chewed (slurped) into it i could not help but thank God for such a beautiful, sweet food. My thinking at that moment was; 'this fruit is way better tasting than chocolate, candies, cookies etc'. The point is that when you are addicted to a food like chocolate it seems to taste the best ever food ( and yes i have been there in my past) and you think 'it tastes so good,  how can this be harmful'. Yet when you are eating properly or on Daniels Diet our taste and thoughts change, we enjoy the natural foods far more than the processed ones and you feel so much better after eating it as well.
We have a choice;  to keep eating and  enjoying the foods God created or go the man adulterated food way and let our taste buds become perverted to 'harmful'  and addictive foods, that will cause us  to want to eat more and more of them and eventually cause problems sooner or later. Daniels Diet allows you to break the cycle of addictions and food intolerance's. It allows your taste buds to change and enjoy healthy foods.

Today's scripture:

God…“Who pardons all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases.” (Psalm 103:2)
Have faith that healing and weight loss are taking place inside you right now and more and more every day. No matter how big or small a problem you now have, through Jesus all healing is possible. Keep praying and believing. You are working with Jesus now and not against him (meaning your diet and lifestyle).
You are doing your part to enhance healing to your mind, body and emotions, ask and trust God to do the rest. Remember this diet is based on His Word, The Bible.

My Day Yesterday & Today.
I decided yesterday to undertake a special Liver Detox as part of my Daniels Diet. I personally do this 2-3 times a year.
I will be sharing this later on this year for anyone interested and in a closed forum. people interested will have to join and pay a fee as i will be mentoring you through it.
It entails fasting off all food from 2 pm  to 11 -12 noon the next day. Taking a special protocol in the evening and next morning staying close to your toilet. I wont be going to church this morning but tonight i will.
It is now 10 AM and i am feeling fantastic, clear headed and internally clean -  it speeds up detoxing  through the liver and bowel.
at 11 AM I will eat some fruit and then veggie juice at 11.30.
about 1 or 2 PM i will have a salad.
tonight i will have a curry veggie dish

Chick Pea Curry

Ingredients
1 onion, chopped
1 leek
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp curry paste
Cumin, black pepper, paprika to taste
1 cup vegetable stock
1 cup cooked chick peas
3 large carrots, chopped
1 cup cauliflower pieces
1/3 fresh pineapple pieces
½ cup cashews (mixed with cooked meal)
Preparation Method
Cook together onion, leek and garlic in a little oil or water. Add curry paste and seasonings, cook for 1 minute. Add veggie stock and chick peas, carrots and cauliflower. Simmer till cooked about ½ hour. Then add pineapple pieces, and cashews. Allow to stand for about ½ hour for flavours to mingle.
Serve with Brown Rice. (Rice cooked in turmeric and mixed with cooked lentils is very good.)

have a great and blessed day

Daniels Diet - Day 6

Good morning

Welcome to Day 6. Don't hesitate to blog any questions you may have i will answer them personally.

But His (Jesus) answer was: “My grace is all you need, for My power is greatest when you are weak”. I am most happy, then, to be proud of my weakness, in order to feel the protection of Christ’s power over me.”   (2 Corinthians 12:9 GNB)

You are past the half way mark now, beneficial things are happening, whether you are aware of them or not. Take this opportunity to trust God to see you through any healing situation – whether physical, emotional or spiritual. Many people have testified that prayer not only made this diet easier but also made it a profoundly positive experience, so don’t hesitate to pray and rely on God for help.  If you’re feeling like you can’t keep going remember God’s Grace is sufficient for you.

My Day 6:
I notice that the less 'junk' food or sugar type foods you eat the less you desire them. that means the longer the Daniels diet goes on the easier it is to break the hold that these harmful foods have over you.
Also when you eat less your tummy shrinks and the less you need to feel full. this is great because your waist line shrinks. one male reader said that after doing this diet he could actually bend over and tie his boot lace's, where he never could before.
Its all positive - hallelujah
This morning i swept all the leaves out of the back garden and did a little gardening.

Had the lemon in water and veggie juice. stone fruit is next on the list.
Lunch is mixed salads again. i mostly just keep it simple and quick. i wrote the recipe guide to give choices for people who want to cook and experiment with foods.

fruit and walnuts only for afternoon.

Baked veggies and salad tonight

Soups – have them as one meal, at any time to fit into your 10 day diet plan.
Soups; Try making up a large pot of soup using the allowed ingredients, then freeze or refrigerate it to create quick meals.

Bread is often served with soups – however I personally never eat bread with soup. The reason being we are better off having less bread in our diet not more. Especially for weight loss and gluten free diets, so none at all on this 10 day plan. Of course the quality of bread does make a big difference and can be used after the 10 days.

Spinach Soup
This soup can be served chunky or pureed
Ingredients
2 bunches spinach, washed and heavy stems taken out
4 large potatoes
4 cups stock, vegetable or chicken
1 cup water
1 onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 lemon, juiced
Salt to taste
Cold pressed olive oil
Preparation Method
Brown the onion in oil in a saucepan. Peel and cut the potato into chunks, and add it to the onion and brown. Add stock and water and simmer gently until all is tender. Add the chopped spinach and season to taste. If you wish to puree the soup then now is the time.
Serve with vegetable salad if you want a larger meal..

have a great and blessed day

Daniels Diet - Day 5

Good morning - day 5 - we are half way there!

Scripture to start the day.
'So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God'. 1 Corinthians 10:31
Each day as we make choices about what to eat, drink or act upon; try to keep God's glorification always before our personal gratification. If we simply go back to the basics in all areas-natural food, pure fresh water, clean air and the unadulterated Word of God-we would be absolutely amazed at what we can achieve...a healthier body, soul and spirit!
This is why Daniels Diet is so successful - because it takes the modern, adulterated, refined, chemical foods out of our diet and gives our internal system a 'holiday' from processing it all the time.
We get back to basics and we 'feel' better and lose weight as a good side affect.

Never Give Up
"What is wrong with me? I can't even make 4 days without giving into my cravings and going on a binge. I feel like food has total control over me. Will I struggle like this the rest of my life? Why can't I just be normal and eat when I'm hungry? I'm a total loser. I'll never change."
These are some heart wrenching  comments I hear from people in my clinic or in emails.
Let me encourage those who may have struggled to complete the 10 days. First there should be absolutely NO condemnation or guilt or blaming yourself. 'Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,...' Romans 8:1-3. In the past i have completed Daniels diet many times but there have been a few times when after a few days I found I could not complete it and had to stop. This has been for different reasons (we all have personal 'stuff'):
  1. not preparing my mind before i started.
  2. not preparing my shopping and the right time ( too busy or traveling etc)
  3. stress or emotional pressure at the time.
What a lot of people do and please don't do it - the self talk is something like this - they say to themselves - ' i cant do it - i feel guilty - so i may as well binge and eat what my flesh likes...
This is what to do - and say to your self - 'i am finding it hard so its not the right time for me'. I will start to watch what i eat and then will do this diet again in a few weeks.'
Most times its because of a high sugar and refined carb' diet. so slowly change your eating to what Daniels diet teachers and then prepare as the book says and then try again.  one reader tried 5 times and each time increased the days and then she made it to 10 and felt so big an achievement it changed her life.
so don't feel bad - just keep trying.

My Day.
I feel great today - the detox and partial fast is working. my head is clearer and i feel more energy.
I noticed yesterday I ate too many mixed nuts - i know its too many because i could feel it take the edge off my wellbeing. always listen to your body  - it will tell you things if you first get healthy and then take notice on how you feel.
Bike ride for 1 hour - no energy slump today - i made sure i hydrated and ate as soon as i got back ( it helps to pump my tyres up too i noticed (ha) they were at 15 pressure (near flat) and need to be about 60).
lots of water (1/2 litre) - fruit - vitamins and veggie juice coming up soon.
Lunch - mixed salad
no nuts today. just fruit and if i have time another veggie juice.
Dinner tonight. Brown rice and veggies - i find brown rice fills me up and is nice with lots of herbs.
Prayer walk with my wife as we pray and give thanks for the day + talk.

Veggie Juice:
Ingredients
1-2 carrots – depending on size
½ raw beetroot (red beets)
1 celery sticks (stems)
1 tablespoon of blue berries (frozen)
1 stem of spinach
Ginger to taste
½ lemon squeezed

Note: your stool (bowel movement) may turn red or dark green due to beetroot (red beet) colour or greens. This is normal and not a health problem and will go away if you stop the juices for a few days.
You may have ‘Detox Symptoms’ from the process of your body eliminating  toxins, if they are too severe, stop for one day and start again with ½ dose. Water it down helps - if needed

have a good day

Philip

Daniels Diet - Day 4

Good Morning,

I think a great scripture for today is Hebrews 10 v 35 -36. ' therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise'.

I am confident the diet principles of Daniel will help you achieve your goals. Why? Because of the many hundreds of people who have contacted me telling me that this diet has helped them in many ways. Because i have felt the changes to my health so much.

Just to confirm that i am doing the diet with you in real time - i have patients who are coming into my clinic regularly who are discussing this blog and diet with me. They can confirm and also my wife of course who is reading the blog and preparing some of the meals and talking to some of the patients following the diet.

My Day 4.

fruit and veggie juice and some nuts an hour after
I will eat large salad for lunch - the trick is to vary your salads and dressings so you don't get bored with same ones.
More nuts and seeds and piece of fruit during the afternoon
Dinner -1 large Corn cob with Bragg's herbal sprinkle, and black pepper.

  Red Lentil Salad

1 tbsp olive oil 1 clove garlic crushed

Heat the oil in a pan; cook the garlic and cumin for 1 minute. Add the lentils and stir to coat in cumin mixture. Stir in vegetable stock and bring to boil. Simmer the lentils, uncovered, stirring often for 10 -15 minutes or until liquid has been absorbed. Allow to cool, then adding remaining ingredients, garnishing with the almonds and serve with mixed lettuce and salads.

Try this for Dinner!

Brown rice pilaf with asparagus

Ingredients
3 cups of cooked brown rice
2 ½ cup of cubed Portobello mushrooms 2 cloves of garlic minced
1 red onion fine chopped
½ cup of red lentils

2 Tablespoons of lemon juice
1 to two bunches of asparagus cut into 3 cm. pieces
1 tablespoon of lemon thyme leaves
2 tablespoons of toasted Almond slivers
2 spoons of olive oil

Add the thyme and cooked rice
You may need a little more liquid
Adjust seasoning you may need a little salt
Serve with the almond sprinkled over the Top and a little more thyme

Daniesl Diet - day 3

Good morning,

Its worth it! The many hundreds of good news testimonies i receive can not lie. The next two days for some can be a  struggle. So i encourage you don't give up, it will get easier from here on. today is the day where withdrawals can manifest. Some people may feel a bit weak or tired, dull headaches - these will go away and one of the most common testimonies is that by the end of the 10 days - 'i feel more energy, my brain is clear', 'no more headaches, no more tummy discomfort'  and 'i feel just wonderful'. Then of course is the weight loss.
Philippians 4 v 13 KJV. ' I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.'

My Day;
Prayer walk, breathing and stretches in the local park.
veggie juice ( i forgot my lemon in water so will do that later in the day)
fruit
Lunch, mixed salad
nuts and fruit
Dinner, brown rice and steamed veggies.
mango for sweets
another walk before bed ( it is summer in Perth so walking morning and night is easy).

Daniels Diet - Day 2

Good morning,

Most people find day 2-4 the hardest. This is because your body has been used to eating filling foods like bread, meat, dairy etc. Now you are not eating them - your body has to go through a couple of days of withdrawals and  to adjust, this is when you often crave certain foods and can feel hungry.
However if you push through this time you will find it easier, your tummy starts to shrink in size and you don't need so much food to feel satisfied. This means you will be able to fit into your clothes better. One of the best everyday health tips i can give you is to eat less and better quality food - you will live longer and healthier.

Also some people may get more emotionally sensitive and even  irritable. This will pass.
if you are having extreme sugar cravings and feeling very weak physically - this indicate sugar is a major issue in your life and now is the time to overcome this issue. Make sure you are eating regularly and add some dried fruit and protein to help. If you get too weak and are feeling faint you may have to do a modified Daniels Diet i.e. you stay on Daniels Diet but include small  amounts of protein like eggs and fish. work hard on giving up sugar  and it wont be long before you can complete Daniels diet properly.

Good Proteins are very much a part of this Health Plan

Vegetable Protein is found in legumes and pulses, brown rice, almonds, pistachios, walnuts, Brazil nuts, split peas, chickpeas, lentils, seeds and the bean family and tofu (which is why I have included tofu recipes for you).
One or more of these proteins should be included in every main meal.

My Day.
40 minute walk - with heavy back pack and carrying small weights. This idea is to show people that if you can not afford or like going to gyms then there are simple ways to do exercise.  Weight bearing or resistance exercise is the best for weight loss and toning your body plus when you start  to breathe deeply it is very good for you.
if you are feeling weak on the diet - don't exercise - other than general walking. Listen to your body, if it feels good then do whatever exercise you want - if feeling down don't.

Lemon and prunes
Veggie juice - while writing this blog.
Lunch Salads
Afternoon teas - green tea and nuts
fruit if i feel hungry or need to boost my blood sugar.
Dinner - baked vegetables and salad.

Protein is important - and tofu, tempeh and lentils  are good protein

In another saucepan add the water, onion, herbs, cumin, carrots, and sweet potato. Simmer for 10 – 15 minutes.  Then add the cooked or raw lentils at this time.  Gently tear the spinach leaves into bite size pieces and stir through the soup.  Carefully place in blender or food processor and blend well prior to serving with a salad of your choice

Daniels Diet - Day One

Daniels Diet Day 1.

Good Morning Every one. lets start Day one with a Biblical declaration.
Mathew 18 v 19. ' Again i say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven'.

So not only am i agreeing in prayer with you but lets all do it for each other and that adds even more support in prayer. so what ever it is you are aiming for; weight loss, detox, healing for any illness or disease, give up smoking, alcohol, chocy ....What ever it is in line with wisdom - i (we) agree that by the end of the 10 days, your individual  prayers will be answered.

First; Weigh your self and measure your tummy - make sure you measure the exact same spot each time. you only measure and weigh at the start and end or the diet. I will include a chart at the end of this page.

What i have done this morning and plan for the rest of the day
prayer walk - lemon in water followed by a mixed veggie juice. writing this blog.
mid morning i will have fruit
lunch a large mixed salad
afternoon nuts and seeds and another Veggie juice.
dinner steamed veggies and brown rice

For those in a cold climate try the recipe below from my new Daniels Diet Recipe Guide.

Millet Porridge

Ingredients
1 cup hulled millet
3 cups water
Berries to taste
½ banana or any fruit you prefer (low GI)
Add some pumpkin seeds.

Millet is a grain that is gluten-free. It is alkaline and easy to digest and as a bonus has good protein content. Eat 2/3 of a small breakfast bowl per meal.

Preparation Method
Boil the water then add the millet. Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until millet is soft. It forms a mucilaginous texture when cooked which act as an intestinal lubricant and benefits your ‘tummy’.
If it becomes too ‘gluggy’, strain it under running water.

Morning or afternoon tea variety:

DIPS
Great to have with sliced carrot, beans, celery and zucchini. This is a good idea if entertaining or socializing.

3. Ground Chick Pea Dip
Ingredients
125 g dried chick peas 80g toasted sesame seeds
4 tbsp chopped oregano, basil, or other herbs in season 1-2 cloves garlic
2 cups veggie stock 1 tbsp lime juice
3 tbsp red onion, chopped 1 tsp Dijon mustard
pinch sea salt

Preparation Method
Grind the chick peas in a blender to a powder like cornmeal. Cook in the boiling stock for about 10 minutes, constantly stirring. Let cool, and mix with the rest of the ingredients. Serve as a dip with baby carrots, beans, celery and zucchini

Set Your Personal Goals

Setting goals is the first step to success.
Goals provide you with the focus needed to achieve what you desire, and creates the motivation and will power to fulfill the goals that you set.
In fact, the single most important factor in a diet or weight loss program is having committed goals.  Studies indicate that people who write down their goals succeed in achieving them over 50 percent more than those who don’t write down goals.

Personal Goals for the next 10 Days; (measure and weigh only at beginning and end of the 10 days – do not weigh yourself every day)

Daniels Diet - Getting Prepared (shopping list)

Sunday Night - Preperation before starting Daniels Diet.

I am excited - and mentally prepared - so i trust you are too.
Daniel 1v 8 (NASB) ' but Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the Kings choice of food or with wine.."

I have just got back from shopping - in preparation for tomorrow ( actually i am starting tonight)
Here are some shopping tips:

  1. I buy already prepared salads e.g - pk of the following; baby spinach + mixed lettuce + Asian salad (stir fry ) mix + sprouts.
  2. Vegetables; sweet potatoe, pumpkin, cellery, red beets (beetroot), carrots, brocolli, beans, spinach, bok choy, ( think green...) etc etc
  3. mixed fruits in season - here in Western Australia - it is summer so Water melon/rock melon, apples, bananas, stone fruit (although these are high GI) so if thinking of weight loss you should not have too many of them and stick to low GI fruits.
  4. Seasonings ( the folowing are extracts from my new book - 'Daniels Diet Recipe Guide')
    Capers
    Celtic sea salt
    Crushed Garlic
    Crushed ginger
    Green curry paste
    Miso (Kome or Genmal)
Organic Tamari Soy Sauce (all natural, all purpose, wheat free soy
           sauce)
Organic Herb Seasoning – e.g. Vogel “Herbamare”
    Vegetable Stock
Soup Stock – no MSG, additive free stock powder (Vogel vegetable)
    Massel veggie stock
  5. If you need help sourcing anything– go to your nearest health store, they will give you assistance.
  6. Dried herbs and spices
    Bay leaves
    Cayenne (red) pepper
    Chia
    Chili powder
    Cinnamon sticks
    Cloves
    Cumin
    Curry powder
    Dried Herbs
    Garlic
    Ground cinnamon
    Ground coriander
    Ground or fresh ginger
    Ground nutmeg
    Masala
    Marjoram
    Mustard Powder
    Onion
    Paprika
    Peppercorns green and black
    Sesame Seeds
    Turmeric
  7. Oils and vinegarsApple Cider Vinegar
    Balsamic Vinegar
    Extra Virgin Olive Oil
White Vinegar (to wash your fruit and vegetables)
  8. Nuts (unsalted) and dried fruit
    Almonds (blanched or whole)
    Hazelnuts
    Pecans
    Pine nuts
    Prunes
    Sun-dried tomatoes
    Walnuts
    Brazil
    Cashews
  9. Dried fruit often contains sulphur to enhance the color of the dried product.  Seek organic sun-dried fruit, which is also sulphur- free. This is especially important if you experience any respiratory challenges such as asthma.
    No peanuts.
  10. Stir-fry
  11. You’ll find a wonderful selection of frozen stir-fry vegetable mixes in the freezer section of your local supermarket. Make sure you choose the ones with no added sauces. The store will also have bags of prepared raw stir-fry vegetables in the fresh food section, add more colours yourself if needed. Choose fresh foods where possible, however frozen are good as a second choice and for convenience. To avoid plastic contamination, I recommend you mix your own from the loose choices available, i.e. bag up your own.

Feel free to use variety and what is in season in your locality is best, also what you personaly prefer to have. Organic is best but not vital, just do the best you can, its all good.

All the best and talk to you tomorrow

Daniels Diet

What Is Diet Reviews

Overall Rating (out of 5):

Mention the word DIET and immediately it conjures up thoughts of going hungry, eating bland food, a lot of time and effort, weighing and measuring foods or surviving only on lettuce and juice. Yet in reality, diet means our manner of living and our current eating habits. It’s not about starving and missing out, rather about making wise decisions based on nutritional facts and what as an individual you need for health and longevity.
With so many products and weight loss systems in the market place how do you decide what diet is right for you?  Nearly every person over 15 years old has tried a diet of some description, some people tell me “you name the diet and I've tried it, and I am still gaining weight?”
I encourage you not to give up even if you have tried nearly every diet known to mankind - the idea is to find the right one for you and enjoy it.

What is the Best Diet for you.

In these days of quick fix solutions, which include take-away, fast foods or frozen meals, it is important to consider that the fastest option is not always the most beneficial. This is why, when trying to improve our health and weight it is important to examine our entire lifestyle, not just the food. A diet should not limit us to unexciting meals or require long hours without eating. It should allow us to eat 3-5 times a day with the only restrictions being on harmful and non-essential foods.

Product Pros:
  • A diet plan that you can trust
  • Lose weight & remain healthy
  • Keep the weight off
  • Stop craving sugar/carbs
  • Break the cycle of illness
  • • Overcome emotional eating
  • Regain energy & make the most out of your life

Product Cons:
  • you have to do it
  • you have to avoid the harmful foods

What is Diet is ranked in the millions per month of searches on the internet. people are crying out for true information - diets that work and they can trust.  Not just 'fad diets' that are sales orientated.
There is no one diet that fits everyone - however you can find the one that does fit you.
